Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington located in Ohio left high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. In 2001, despite her finances, she was able get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the lead character. The TV film Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. She played the lead protagonist for two seasons and also won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace was keen to work more prominently in film having been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. The role she played was Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of these characters. Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes playing Shannon. She appeared in 2013's seventh season Californication. The character she plays is Faith she is the muse and fan of the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first appearances were in films starring her father when he was an adolescent. Along with her brother, she was also in Donnie Darko (2000). She then appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise for her performance as the lead in Secretary (2002) which is which is an erotic romantic drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films including World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007).
