Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer and director best known as the star of Birdman. He's a versatile actor who is able to play comedic and dramatic roles. His career has seen him play a variety of characters who are romantic, and also in action-packed films. His passion for the performing arts started when he was in his teen years. He began to try stand-up comedy during his 20s. The show was not an enviable stand-up career, however it did pave the way to pursue an acting career. When he failed to become a successful comedian, he began working at a Satellite station, as a TV crew participant. The job at the station was the first time he realized that it was his dream to be on camera. The TV role was agreed to and he was a regular on various episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. The actor was naturally talented and quickly became a household name in the world of television. He embarked on the film industry with high ambitions and found considerable fame through his comedic characters. He earned further acclaim when he portrayed the eponymous character as Tim Burton's Batman. As time passed, he began his career acting as an actor and started doing productions and even directing films. The 2014 Birdman film earned him multiple nominations and awards.
